Graduation Season Magic in High River, Parks & The Saskatoon Farm Greenhouse
Graduation season always feels extra special to me. There’s something about this time of year — the excitement, the nerves, the big dreams, and that “I made it” energy — that makes every session feel unique.
This season I’ve been lucky to photograph grads in some of my favourite locations: downtown High River, beautiful local parks, and the dreamy greenhouse at The Saskatoon Farm. Each spot brings its own personality, and I love mixing them together to create a gallery that feels fun, real, and totally YOU.
Downtown High River — Classic With a Cool Twist
High River’s downtown is such a hidden gem. Brick walls, cute storefronts, alleyways with texture, and that small-town charm that somehow always photographs so well. It’s perfect if you want something stylish but not too serious. Walking shots, twirls in your grad dress, leaning against walls, laughing mid-step — these always turn into client favourites.
Saskatoon Farm Greenhouse — Warm, Cozy & Magical
And then there’s the greenhouse… honestly one of my favorite places to shoot. The light is soft, warm, and flattering, even on cloudy days. Surrounded by plants and greenery, it feels cozy, elegant, and a little bit magical. It’s perfect for grads who want something unique and timeless — especially if you love nature but still want that polished look.
Park Sessions — Soft Light & Natural Moments
For grads who love open space and greenery, park sessions bring that calm, fresh vibe. Golden light, tall trees, paths to wander down, and room to move. This is where I usually tell grads to run, spin, kick their shoes off for a second, or just breathe and enjoy the moment. Some of the best photos happen when you forget the camera is even there.
My Approach With Grads
I keep things relaxed and fun. No stiff posing, no awkward moments. I’ll guide you, hype you up, and make sure you feel confident the whole time. Let me know what you have in mind for this session, or add it to your Pinterest board, and we can create it together.
Graduation isn’t just about the cap and gown. It’s about closing one chapter and stepping into the next one with courage, excitement, and big dreams. And I’m so honoured every time I get to freeze that moment in time.
If you’re graduating this year — congratulations. You did it. And I can’t wait to celebrate you through photos that feel just as special as this season of life.
